Shaping future climate leaders through youth program

ExxonMobil is committed to creating sustainable solutions that improve quality of life and meet society’s evolving needs in ways that help protect people, the environment, and the communities where we operate.

On July 29, Tony Kwok, ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK) Hong Kong/Macau Fuels Sales Director, volunteered as guest speaker for a group of secondary school students at the Hong Kong 2050 is Now Young Environment Ambassadors (YEA) Programme hosted by Civic Exchange. He shared ExxonMobil’s approach to "improving air quality", a focus area of ExxonMobil’s sustainability approach. He also highlighted the benefits associated with the usage of biodiesel and the challenges that lie ahead in this endeavor.

The talk was followed by a human library session, providing students an opportunity to engage with Tony directly. Through their interaction, Tony shared ExxonMobil’s plan to play a leading role in the energy transition, and we strive to accomplish this by applying the company’s top strengths, which include scale, integration, technology, functional excellence, and people.

Sponsored by EMHK, the Hong Kong 2050 is Now YEA Programme was inaugurated on July 8. This program aims to nurture the next generation of climate leaders through ambassador training, sustainable projects, and peer education. By supporting this initiative, EMHK is investing in the future – inspiring today’s young generations to contribute to solutions for a more sustainable future.
