Supporting optimized resource management by setting up recycling bins in Esso stations

To act in concert with the society to prevent plastic leakage into the environment and support the efficient use of resources, ExxonMobil Hong Kong has collaborated with Drink Without Waste to set up 31 plastic bottle collection points in dedicated Esso stations since last December while 22 glass recycling bins have been placed in some of these stations last month to extend our support to glass recycling.
Until February, More than 200kg plastic waste have been collected from our collection points. All the collected plastic bottles will be converted to food-grade ready materials and glass bottles will be crushed into particles to substitute natural river sand for the production of construction materials such as paving blocks.
