In early 2018, ExxonMobil Hong Kong sponsored company teams in two environmentally friendly events to promote and raise funds for nature conservation. Environmental protection is a priority for ExxonMobil, and as part of its continued efforts to support local environmental initiatives, our volunteers had a chance to play an active role.
Walk for the Green Earth 2018
On January 13, an ExxonMobil Hong Kong company team of 11 took part in Walk for the Green Earth 2018, a fundraising event organized by The Green Earth, with the message “Cherish the Earth.” Participants had an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and open their eyes to its beauty. The funds raised will be used to support The Green Earth’s campaigns and education programs.
After the kickoff ceremony, the team started the walk in Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and walked 11 kilometers into the evening along the West Dam of High Island Reservoir in Sai Kung. Activities were arranged along the way, including stargazing and light painting.
25th Green Power Hike
The Green Power Hike is an annual fundraising event organized by Green Power that attracts more than 3,000 participants each year. ExxonMobil Hong Kong has supported this event since 2010. In 2018, ExxonMobil Hong Kong sent two teams to participate in the green hiking experience and contribute to the environmental effort.
