Supporting various activities to show care for grassroots and ethnic minority families 

ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK) has been supporting St. James’ Settlement (SJS) in organizing various activities to show care for grassroots and ethnic minority families. In the second half of 2022, a series of STEAM workshops were held to teach 54 primary school students AI and IoT programming for digital games, programming for drones, and how to use 3D printing pens. There were also 3 day camps where students tried to control smart bots and drones with what they had learnt, laying the foundation for future STEAM studies.

At the end of 2022, SJS held a family treehouse day, where 28 ethnic minority family members could experience the fun of climbing a tree house and taking a zip line ride. There were also family games for the participants to strengthen parent-child relationship through cooperation. At the end of the event, each family was given a gift pack to round off the exciting day.
