Navigating career paths with job shadow day at the terminal

ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK) is committed to fostering youth development and nurturing talents in our community by empowering young people to navigate their career paths and excel in their respective fields. Since 2016, EMHK has been the exclusive sponsor of the HKUST-ExxonMobil iSTEAM Program initiated by the Center for Global & Community Engagement of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) School of Engineering, which includes a job shadow day at ExxonMobil Tsing Yi West Terminal for HKUST students. On this year's job shadow day, our colleagues served as mentors to lead a terminal tour, offering a group of HKUST School of Engineering and School of Science students a look at terminal operations and engaging them with cutting-edge virtual reality tools to stimulate the terminal work experience. Mentors also shared valuable life lessons, offering advice for job searching and career planning.

"EMHK is unwavering in its efforts to promote youth development. We hope that the job shadow day can deepen students' understanding of the energy industry while providing them with essential tips for choosing their careers, enabling them to contribute to society in their desired fields," said Hong Kong Marine and Blending Operations Manager Stanley Lee.
