EMHK recognized as Caring Company for 16 years in a row

ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK) has been awarded the Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the 16th consecutive year in recognition of continued dedication to caring for employees, the community and the environment.

Fernando Vallina, Chairman of ExxonMobil China, thanked the volunteers and supporters, “While this recognition is the fruit of the company’s constant contribution to the community, it would not have been achieved without your tremendous support and active participation amid COVID-19 challenges. Let’s continue to make a positive impact on the community.”

Despite the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we collaborated with our community partners to organize various community programs with a particular focus in the areas of community wellbeing, STEM education and youth development, as well as environmental protection.

In addition to organizing community activities, such as a one-day tour to Zhuhai for the elderly, a beach clean-up day and donations of COVID-19 care packs to the needy, EMHK also strived to foster youth development and exposure by supporting STEM education and ethical business decision-making workshops. ExxonMobil also leveraged Esso’s citywide station network to support beverage package recycling as well as a donation campaign to encourage people with disabilities to engage and excel in the arts.
